Churt satellites 7th game of the season was against beacon hill. The teams had already drawn earlier on in the season so everyone knew it would be a tight game.
Beacon hill kicked off the first half, but Churt soon began to dominate the play, but none of the through but quite got to the strikers.
There was a few rough tackles and collisions as everyone was fired up, and one resulted in Churt left Wing Back, Maisie Lambert having to come off injured, swapping with Martha Pittman, who slotted in to the left wing back position.
Soon after the Satellites made a break through getting the ball to Hannah watts who made the run, shot and scored! 1- 0, Churt took the early lead.
Not long after beacon hill were starting to pressure Churt but the Churt defence of Tallula Musgrove, Emily Watts and Isobel Kandak, stood strong, not letting anyone past.
The ball was going back and forth, up and down the pitch, with both teams fighting and battling together until beacon hill made a break through and managed to score 1-1.
Coming towards the end of the first half, Emily Watts made a tackle and dribbled up the line, passing it to Hannah watts who was in the boxing ready to shoot and it went in!! The half time whistle blew with churt being 2-1 up.
Churt kicked off this half and were immediately, being pressurised by the opposition, with them making a few changes and playing more defensively, Churt were finding it tough to get through.
Beacon hill managed to get a hold of the ball and took a shot, Tilly Carr made a fantastic save but the rebound came straight back to a beacon hill player who slotted it into the back of the net. 2-2
Isobel Kandak was battling away down the right wing stopping the crosses coming in until she made a foul made just outside the penalty box. Beacon Hill stepped up and shot, GOAL!!, and now the score is 3-2 To Beacon Hill. If only the highlights were on Match of the day later, what a match so far.
So after Churt made a break forward with Hannah watts switching the play to Ella Farrier but still nothing was going Churt's way as they failed to capitalise on the attack.
Churt made another foul right outside the penalty box and Beacon Hill scored again from the free kick, 4-2
Soon after, Emily watts carried the ball out of defence, all the way from her own half to the penalty box, but her shot just wasn't strong enough to make impact, what a goal that could have been!
Churt began to look a bit lost, everyone’s spirits were low and they were getting frustrated. but they were still not going to give up!
Beacon hill were playing well and making Churt work really work hard and then they scored again, making it 5-2.
Churt really needed to be switch on.
With only 7 minutes to go churt need to do something, everyone was making tackles and trying to win the ball, Amy Thompson found herself running down the wing, she crossed the ball in, and there was Hannah again, scoring with a header (Another hat-trick for Hannah), to make it 5-3, but it was too late and shortly after the final whistle blew, with the score 5-3 to Beacon Hill, taking them 4 points clear of Churt and leaving the teams in a similar position to this time last season. Once again, Churt need to get back to winning ways and chase Beacon Hill all the way to the line.
It was a strong match from both teams, Churt maybe being slightly unlikely to come out the losers, but as always, both teams play hard and well, and one team has to win, so well done to Beacon Hill on this one!
