Churt arrived still unbeaten this season (and since the end of January) now facing Claygate Royals.
The satellites started off slow and lethargic. with claygate dominating Churt were really being pressured back. On the 14th minutes churt finally made a break through with Ruby Clark getting hold of the ball dribbling, passed it to Amy O'Donnell who made a through ball to Ella Farrier who slotted it in the back of the net. 1-0.
On the 15th minute Emily Watts signalled to the bench that she needed to come off, so Martha Pittman replaced her and Churt were playing with a makeshift 3 in defence, with Tallula, Tia and Phoebe holding the line.
Churt now started to wake up a bit and start to play their game, and on the 21st minute Ella crossed the ball to Hannah, who took a touch and scored! The satellites were now starting to take control of the game, 2-0.
Lily Jay was then brought on so that Churt could revert to a back four, with Emily off the pitch and Isobel missing the game, both Lily and Martha were standing in at left and right back.
Still nothing got past the Churt defence, being brilliant marshalled by Tallula Musgrove and Tia Eldridge.
On the 24th minute Churt scored again making it 3-0. Liv Potter got hold of the ball passed it through to Hannah and she put it in the back of the net. The satellites were now 3-0 up with only a few more minutes till half time.
Churt started to relax a little and on the 27th minute claygate got a goal on the break. The half time whistle blew churt 3 Claygate Royals 1.
Churt went into the second half with a little talking to from the coach who told them they'd being playing a bit lethargic and ok, and he wanted more from the team, they switched back to a more normal 3-5-2 with Wing back formations, and Maisie Lambert and Phoebe Mitchell, were asked to do a marking job on the dangerous right attacker of Claygate. Emily Watts came back on the pitch as centre back, still carrying a slight injury, as was Tallula Musgrove, but with the three centre backs restored they once again looked formidable. Maisie came back on for Ruby Clarke and Emily for Amy O'Donnell.
They started to play much better, passing the ball around all the players and getting into space.
Phoebe got the ball and passed it to Ella, who squared it to Hannah and she shot and scored the 4th goal and her Hatrick.
Churt were now dominating play but Claygate where still fighting for goals with Tia having to make a clearance out for a corner.
They stepped up to take the corner it went over every player and the ball was fired in, only for Maisie Lambert to make a goal line clearance!
A few minutes later Martha got the ball, dribbled all the way from the half way line, weaving in and out of defenders and crossed it in to find Hannah there who hit it first time into the goal. Now 5-1 to Churt.
Again some subs were made, Liv and Hannah coming off for a well earned rest and Ruby and Amy O coming on back on. Straight away Amy O was running at the defence and making crosses into Ella. Phoebe was often making great runs but the ball never quite found its way to her. The sight of Phoebe and Maisie running back to tackle the dangerous Claygate winger was a really positive part of the game, there is no way they were letting her get away this time.
Tilly continued to have a commanding performance in goal, catching everything that came her way, coming out at the right moments and communicating really well with her defence.
There were two more injuries on 60 minutes, with Tallula and Martha both having to leave the pitch, so Hannah and Liv went back on, Hannah having to move into Left Midfield and Lily Jay moved back to the centre of defence (her third position of the game)
Churt still held their ground and dominated play. Many of the satellites weren’t playing in there usual positions by the end, but nothing was getting past Churt now and everyone was playing for the team. The final whistle blew with churt taking the win 5-1, and going back to the top of the table. Well done girls, and well done Tia Eldridge, who was awarded woman of the match, a really outstanding performance at the heart of the Churt defence, always in the right position when needed.
