Beacon Hill arrived at the game, having secured the Title the previous week and Churt were secured in Second Spot.
Whilst it was officially a home game for Beacon Hill, the game was played at Churt's ground as Beacon Hill were unable to host this week.
So before kick off the Churt team, made a Guard of Honour and clapped the Beacon Hill team onto the pitch.
The game started as expected, end to end, and Beacon Hill took the iniative, with a great run and finish by their player Isobella. 1-0 Beacon Hill.
Churt were up for the battle and had a couple of chances, the best was a great move from their Strikers, Hannah Watts, getting the ball to Ella Farrier, who just missed the target.
On the 9th Minute, Amy Thompson swung in a great corner, and the ball fell to Ella Farrier, who got the ball across to Hannah. Boom 1-1!
The game was still end to end, but Churt were the stronger team and Ella Farrier almost scored on the 11th minute, but the shot went just past the post.
On the 21st minute, Beacon Hill attacked and won a corner. Churt were caught napping, and a cross was whipped in from the short corner and it went straight through the defence and in the goal. Oopp. 2-1 Beacon Hill, yet Churt were on top.
So Churt went again, and pressed forward again, and Hannah missing the goal with a strong header from a corner.
On the 23rd minute, Churt were pressing the goal kicks again, and Hannah stole the ball and popped it across to Ella in space, and she tucked it away. 2-2 !
After 26 minutes, Churt had another great shot that was fumbled slightly by the keeper and it went over her head for another corner.
Another great corner, and Hannah Watts close to a goal again.
So as the 1st half finished 2-2, Churt were on top and had Beacon Hill rattled. Emily Watts in particular was having a strong performance on the left hand side of defence. Continually winning the ball and getting it forward to her strikers!
The second half started and Churt continued t be on top. On the 35th minute, Amy O'Donnell just missed the goal.
After 37 minutes, Hannah had a shot saved, by Beacon Hill's strong keeper.
On the 38th minute, a corner from Churt reached the head of Tallula Musgrove, who headed just over the bar.
40 Minutes, and another shot from Liv Potter and Churt, and then shortly after another one from Hannah Watts but Churt couldnt break through.
41 Minutes another corner came in from Amy Thompson and eventually fell to Emily Watts on the edge of the box, she dribbled to the right and was brought down in the box. Penalty to Churt. Hannah Watts stepped up calmly and slotted it away, 2-3 to Churt and deservedly so,
The game was becoming stretched and Beacon Hill had a couple of attacks that ended in half chances and frustration due to the Churt defence, of Emily Watts, Tallula Musgrove and Isobel Kandak dominating the game. Also Tilly Carr in goal, was having a confident and commanding day!.
On the 53rd minute, Hannah put Ella through on goal and Ella blasted just over the crossbar. Phew that was close.
For the past few minutes, Churt stood strong and Beacon Hill looked tired, a little shocked and couldn't get on the ball to play, they were just hustled out of it continually by a determind Churt team.
The referee signalled there was 1 minute to go and Churt had a throw on the right hand side. Isobel Kandak took it and Amy Thompson one the ball and played it back to her. Isobel hit an inswinging cross with her first touch and it landed perfectly for Hannah Watts to smash into the goal. Churts's 4th and Hat Trick Hannah strikes again (for her 41st goal of the season. The full time whistle went. Churt were jubilant with a 4-2 win over their local rivals. What a game to end the season on and what a season with these two teams fighting for the top place all the way through.
At the end of the game. Churt presented a cup and photo to congratulate Beacon Hill on their Division 1 win, and the teams joined together for a group photo. Two great teams dominating the division and both growing as teams. Now we all look forward to what happens next season!
Player of the match was Tallula Musgrove, who may have made a mistake for the second goal, but then put in a performance of the season, dominiating the Beacon Hill forwards and leading the defence. Well done Tallula and well done team!.
