Churt Strikers on fire for a big victory!

In the first match of this double header Churt Satellites dominated from the outset.

The first 2 goals were ruled out for offside but Hannah Watts scored again after 20 minutes (from an Emily Watts assist – a perfect sister link up) to put the Satellites up 1-0.

It shouldn’t have taken that long for the first goal with innumerable chances including some great corners they just couldn’t get on the end of, some just wide or over the crossbar and an excellent goalie who despite the final scoreline made some brilliant saves.

Ella Farrier made it 2-0 after Emily Watts made a fantastic run, quickly followed by Hannah Watts making it 3-0 with a cross from Maisie Lambert, and the first half ended 3-0.

The Satellites kept up the same pressure in the 2nd half with Lily Jay making it 4-0, pouncing on the ball after a great shot from Ella Farrier bounced out of the goalies hands.

Ella Farrier’s fabulous turn and shoot from Amy Thompsons assist finished off the game 5-0.

Our defence did us proud keeping a clean sheet and tracking back quickly when needed.

Special mention to the coffee van who provided excellent hot drinks and bacon sandwiches for post match (or in this case mid match) sustenance!

Alternative Match Report
Our alternative match report concentrated on a long discussion about who we were actually playing (just calling them the red team), Emilys change of hairstyle (which got the thumbs up from everyone), Amy T hitting the ball in her face and laughing, Isobel almost taking out the crowd with a ball, whether to put up an umbrella or not in the wind, searching for the whistle at half time, which side of the pitch we preferred standing and the fact that no one dare use the toilet. Photo for alternative report attached.
