Churt arrived at the game with 11 players, missing Holly Donati, who was not able to play and Hannah Watts with an injury.
Churt had a rough start, being pinned back for the first 15 minutes, Tilly Carr keeping the satellites in the game with strong saves whilst Richmond put Churt under pressure. As the ball went out for a Churt corner, Ella Farrier stepped up and curled it in, going straight into the goal. Churt were now 1-0 up.
Amy Thompson and Amy Recker were subbed on, This is when everything started to go right for Churt. Richmond Park being stopped by our defence, Isobel Kandak, Tallula Musgrove and Emily Watts making some cracking Tackles. Richmond took a goal kick but Amy Thompson was first to the ball and dribbled up the line to cross it to the players into the box, Amy Recker flicked It forward and Liv Potter was the first to pounce, she shot and scored! At half time the whistle blew, Churt now winning 2-0.
Churt went back on in the second half with the wind against them, Lily Jay and Liv Potter were subbed off. Churt had a lot of chances From Ella Farrier and Amy O’Donnell but none of them managed to go into the back of the net until the 48th minute when Emily Watts made a great run down the right hand side and got it across to Lily Jay who then switched it to Ella Farrier, from outside the penalty box Ella made this leaping and looping shot over the goalkeeper making it 3-0.
Churt seemed in total control now, but on the 50th minute, Richmond Park had other ideas and broke through and got a shot, Tilly Carr almost had her hands on it but the ball went into the bottom corner and it was now 3-1.
The Satellites stayed calm and carried on playing their best. Maisie sprinting down the line, Amy Recker making some great tackles, But once again Richmond got a free kick, Amy Thompson, Talulla Musgrove and Emily Watts standing as the wall, the ball flew across their head but no one could get their head on it and Tilly Carr caught it and kicked it up the pitch.
Some more amazing play from Churt just didn't result in any more goals. The final whistle blew, Churt satellites won 3-1.
Woman of the match was Amy Thompson, who came on after 15 minutes and gave churt the confidence we needed. And also played extremely well battling every player who comes her way.
