Another win, Another clean sheet for the defence!

The teams arrived remembering how close the opposite fixture was, with Churt managing to scrape a 3-4 win.

Churt again started the game missing 3 strong players, with Illness keeping out Holly Donati and Isobel Kandak and Amy Recker also unable to play.

The game started with the usual hustle and bustle, and Churt's forward line took the game to Goldsworth Park straight away. A couple of half chances came to nothing but on the 6th minute, Ella Farrier won the ball straight from a Goldsworth Goal Kick, she passed the ball through to Hannah Watts, who struck the ball hard and clean, the keeper managed to get her hands on it, but the ball slipped through and the score was
1-0 to Churt.

Churt had a couple more good chances but didn't take them, when suddenly there was some pressure up the other end. Several long throws, resulted in Churt being pinned back. Then a shot from outside the box struck A Churt arm and a penalty was awarded to Goldsworth.

The Goldsworth player stepped up, all that stood between her and a goal, was the menacing presence of Churt Goalkeeper, Tilly Carr. Goldsworth shot struck the ball against the post and Churt cleared their lines!. Phew!!

Churt started to dominate again and on the 22nd minute, Maisie Lambert, battled the ball away from the Goldsworth defender, then ran down the left hand side, making a superb cross for Hannah Watts to tuck away, her, and Churt's second. A really strong move from the girls making it
2-0 to Churt and that's how the game stood at Half time.

In the second half, Churt moved a few positions around, Amy O'Donnell, taken a rest whilst Lily Jay moved into Midfield. To start with, Goldsworth had a good spell and worried the Churt backline a few times, but no real chance was created and the Churt defence stood firm.

On the 40th minute Lily Jay made a great pass, from the middle over the top, for the strikers to chase, and Hannah struck the ball well and scored Churt's 3rd Goal. This was also Hannah's third goal and a Hat-trick (A second hat-trick in consecutive games, a third hat-trick this season and two have come against Goldsworth Park)

Churt relaxed a bit, with the game seemingly in the bag, and started to play a dominating forward game, several balls were floated over the top, from Emily Watts or Tallula Musgrove, for Hannah or Ella to chase. Several close chances were saved well, by the Goldsworth Keeper, who was having a great second half, keeping Churt's score down.

There was also some great corners floated in by Maisie Lambert and Ella Farrier, Hannah Watts almost scored with her head from one of them, just missing the frame of the goal, but it was really strong attacking play from al the girls.

Meanwhile, Tallula and Emily continued to dominant at the back, and Tallula, in particular, had an amazing match, she was clearing every ball that came through and nothing was going to pass her or her defensive partner Emily.

The game finished 3-0 to the Satellites. It was another strong performance by the whole team and a commanding win. Hannah bagged herself another hat-trick, an assist a piece from Ella Farrier, Lily Jay and Maisie Lambert, and a great performance at the back from the Churt defence and goalie. Tilly was rarely troubled apart from the penalty, but collected the ball and delivered her goal kicks well, whenever she was needed. A clean sheet for all is another big achievement.

Churt finish the fixtures for 2021, on 28 points from 12 games. They are just behind Motspur Park on goal difference, who have a game in hand. Beacon Hill sit 3 points back, but also with 2 games in hand. The second part of the season looks set to be a fight to the finish!
