Both teams arrived on 15 points and looking for a win. The game was a very close fought game with a really strong performance from both sides, only spoilt slightly by the swirling windy conditions. It was one of those games that looked like it would end 0-0 with both teams having a lot of chances but the ball would not quite go in the goal and at Half Time it was 0-0 with Churt going in having been slightly on top.
The second half was close again with lots of chances, but on 51 mins Motspur scored a goal from a corner which was very well taken. On 53 mins they scored again with a break away and one on one with the keeper. It was almost 3-0 when the ball was struck against the cross bar but Churt managed to clear their lines. Churt continued to fight and have chances but it wasn't to be, one Header from Hannah Watts came close. Some beautiful pass and movements from Hannah Watts and Ella Farrier upfront for once just wouldn't go in. The Motspur Park goalkeeper was clearly their woman of the match and the defence held on to keep the final score at 0-2. This is the first game of the season where Churt have failed to score so a great defensive and goalkeeping performance from Motspur Park!
Lots of battling performances from Churt but the Woman of the match award went to Liv Potter.
