The two sides arrived at Goldsworth, with Churt having won 5-0, in the previous game, and Goldsworth having lost 8-0, so the expectation was that it could have been a one sided match. However, Goldsworth hadn't read that script and put in a battling performance.
The game started with an opening goal for Churt, on 4 minutes, from Holly Donati, who put the ball into the net from close range, after a curling corner from Lily Jay.
Goldworth Park hit back on 8 minutes when a cross from the left landed at the feet of their striker and she tucked it away nicely.
On 12 minutes Goldsworth were in front with another well worked goal.
Churt made a couple of changes, bringing on Hannah Watts and Liv Potter and started to take control. On the 22nd minute Hannah pinched the ball off the defenders and made her own goal for her first of the game.
On the 29th minute Churt gave away a free kick on the edge of the area. Goldsworth scored from an unstoppable looping shot and the teams went in at half time, with Goldsworth edging the score 3-2.
In the second half Churt came out like a different team, and on 34 minutes, Liv Potter provided a nice through pass, for Hannah Watts, to tuck away her second. 2 Minutes later, Maisie Lambert made a great run down the left and floated in a lovely cross which Hannah Watts again tucked away for her hat trick.
Maisie made another opportunity with a strong run down the left, but this time Hannah and Lily couldn't quite connect with the ball.
The pressure was very much Churt on top but Goldsworth did break out a few times, and on one occasion, Tilly Carr made a great save to keep Goldsworth out, and the score at 4-3 to Churt.
A few more chances came Churt's way, and some tough challenges in the box from both sides resulted in a few stops in play.
Both team were fighting well but running out of steam, and the game came to a close with Churt the deserved 4-3 winners. It was a great game of football though and Goldsworth Park played their part. Woman of the Match this week was Hannah Watts, who scored 3 great goals, and ran around for the team causing all sorts of problems for the opposition.
